"Amaterasu" is the heaviest and darkest Flip a Coin song to date—brooding, dissonant breakdowns and gutturals make this song a sharp turn in the opposite direction of their lead single “Lifestream”. Jake Maaka (as heard on “Soliloquoy” by Jacob Howsam Lowe & Stephen Taranto) takes over lead vocals in this follow-up single, showing the extreme contrasts Flip a Coin brings to their upcoming full-length album.
